Estate Organisation
Ms. Phillipa Mensah is an Assistant Registrar at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and a BA in Social Work and Information Studies from the University of Ghana. Ms. Phillipa is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC).
Since 2013, she diligently served in several capacities under the Registrar’s Offices, from the rank of a Senior Administrative Assistant where she was the foundation administrative staff of the School of Graduate Studies then to the Computer Science and Informatics, and Mathematics and Statistics Departments. Her drive for excellence and readiness to serve translated into her resilience to adjust to different working environments.
From 2016 to 2023 she also served at the Works and Physical Development Directorate and the General Administration Division respectively. In 2019 she won the Best Senior Staff, Female Category in the Registrar’s Offices. Also, Ms. Phillipa has facilitated training workshops for some Non-Governmental Organizations in the Bono and Greater Accra Regions. She is the Director of Social Protection and Membership for the World Food Forum (WFF) Ghana Chapter.
Currently the Senior Hall Tutor for University Hall II, She handles students’ welfare, personal growth, and overall residential experience. As a University Administrator, Phillipa has attended workshops and seminars that focused on higher education and institutional management. She has over 20 proposals to her credit which are geared towards the advancement of the University. Ms. Phillipa throughout her work life has passionately served the University in the capacities of a Union Leader. She is the Assistant Secretary of TEWUG and a Member or Secretary of both Statutory and Ad-hoc Committees. Her research interests centres on administration and student welfare issues. Her determination in the administrative field seeks to impart knowledge to others and to create an enabling environment which supports enhancement of potentials.
