“Profile of Ms. Helena Oppong-Kyeremeh

Ms. Helena Oppong-Kyeremeh (PhD Agribusiness ongoing, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) currently, is a lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension, Dormaa Campus, Ghana. She is a dedicated professional in the field of agricultural economics and agribusiness. She is an experienced agricultural commodities value chain analyst trained from The University of Queensland, Australia and also skilled in food security, monitoring and evaluation through practice at Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands.

Presently, her research and teaching interests focus on value chain analysis, marketing of agricultural produce, food security, consumer research, monitoring and evaluation as well as poverty research. She has extensive experience in agribusiness research and has research publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies, Rice Science, International Journal of Value Chain Management, SKUAST Journal of Research, Agricultural Research, International Journal of Social Economics, Indian Journal of Economics and Development, among others. Currently, she is on a project between the Governments of Italy and Ghana’s Okuafo pa agribusiness project to equip the youth and transform them into agripreneurs.”
