Prof. Daniel Akoto Sarfo is the current Head of the Centre for Climate Change and Gender Studies (3CGS) and the Academic Coordinator of the Graduate Studies Department of Forest Science at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani, Ghana.

Prof. Akoto Sarfo holds a Doctorate degree in Forest Ecology and Agroforestry from the University of Bonn, Germany. He previously worked as a Junior Researcher at the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management, Centre for Development Research (ZEFc) at the University of Bonn, Germany.

His research focuses on Forest Ecology, Agroforestry, Forestry and Environmental Governance, Climate Change, and Sustainability Science. He also has a keen interest in the production of clean and renewable energy for sustainable ecosystem development.
