Mr. Remember Roger Adjei is a Senior Research Assistant with the Department of Horticulture and Crop Production, School of Agriculture and Technology. Mr. Adjei conducts research on the plant breeding of underutilized food crops in Africa for food security and nutrition. He also does research on the biological control of major stored product pests that affect stored grains in Ghana. He is currently working on the laboratory evaluation of different plant extracts on the mortality and progeny production of stored product pests, collection and evaluation of different underutilized food crops in Africa, and agrochemical usage among small-holder farmers in Ghana. He has vast knowledge on the use of different statistical tools such as GenStat, MiniTab, SIgmaStat, SigmaPlot, R, and others for data analysis and report writing. He has extensive research experience in agronomy, physiology, plant breeding and genetics, and has publications in well renowned peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Stored Product Research, Journal of Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection etc. He is a member of the African Plant Breeders Association and the African Community of Practice on Forgotten and Underutilized Food Commodities. Mr. Adjei is a graduate of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, and the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, where he obtained an MPhil in Crop Science (Agronomy) and a BSc in Agriculture, respectively.
