Sampson Awafo was born a native of Bongo Beo in the Bongo District of Upper East Region of Ghana. He had his elementary education in this town and then entered Notre Dame Seminary Secondary School after passing common entrance examination. He is currently pursuing a PhD in French (Translation and Interpretation) in the University of Education, Winneba. He holds an Mphil degree in French (Translation and Interpretation) and MBA (Marketing) both from KNUST. He earned a teacher’s certificate ‘A’ from the teacher training college. He has taught and mentored in a cross section of the Ghanaian educational sector. He is credited at the moment with a few publications. His research interest areas are legal and religious Translation and Interpreting, pedagogy of translation and Interpreting and machine translation.
