Welcome message from vc

It is with great pleasure, as Vice-Chancellor, that I warmly welcome you to the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), proudly known as the University of Technologians.

Since its establishment in 2012, UENR has become a fast-rising centre of excellence in higher education, research, and innovation, with a unique mandate to advance knowledge in energy, natural resources, and sustainable development. From our modest beginning with 154 pioneer students enrolled in two schools, UENR has grown remarkably into a vibrant institution with over 16,000 students from Ghana and abroad, studying across seven schools. These schools offer a diverse range of world-class programmes at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels in areas such as Renewable Energy, Engineering, Natural Resources, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, and Applied Sciences.

Your decision to join UENR is an important step toward building a future that combines knowledge, innovation, and impact. As a student here, you will benefit from a strong academic environment driven by cutting-edge research and practical training. You will also experience a safe and supportive campus atmosphere that nurtures both intellectual and personal growth. The University is endowed with competent and dedicated faculty, administrative, and professional staff who are committed to equipping you with the skills, values, and attitudes needed for success in today’s competitive global marketplace.

UENR is not just a place of learning. It is a community that inspires creativity, leadership, and service. Our vision is to become one of Africa’s most internationally recognised universities in energy, natural resources, and sustainable development, making meaningful contributions to Ghana, Africa, and the world at large.

I am delighted to invite you to be part of the UENR Experience, a transformative journey where excellence goes beyond technical knowledge to embrace character, innovation, and responsibility. Together, we can build partnerships that will drive progress for our nation and humanity.

Welcome to UENR, the University of Technologians, where knowledge meets innovation for a sustainable future.
