Learners of the UENR Basic School demonstrated impressive knowledge, confidence and teamwork as they competed for honours in an Inter-Sectional Quiz Competition held at the school premises on Friday, October 23, 2026.

The event featured learners from the school’s four sections—Green, Blue, Yellow and Red—who competed at both the Primary and Junior High School (JHS) levels. At the Primary level, Green Section emerged victorious after securing 56 points. Blue followed with 47 points, while Red and Yellow placed third and fourth with 44 and 41 points respectively. The contest was particularly close between Blue and Red, who initially recorded a tie. The deadlock was eventually broken through a deciding question, giving Blue the advantage.

The JHS competition also produced a closely contested battle, with Blue Section emerging as the winner with 52 points, just one point ahead of Yellow, which finished with 51 points. Red secured third place with 49 points, while Green placed fourth with 48 points.

Beyond determining the winning sections, the competition provided a platform for learners to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom in a competitive and engaging setting.
