The Alumni Association of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has visited the University’s main campus in Sunyani to monitor progress on painting works under its Campus Facelift Project, an initiative aimed at improving the aesthetics of the campus and creating a more welcoming environment for teaching, learning, and other academic activities.
Launched in August 2026 as part of the Association’s Alumni Month celebrations, the project began with the donation of more than 50 buckets of paint to support the repainting exercise. The monitoring visit on October 28, 2026, provided an opportunity for the Association to assess progress and observe the ongoing transformation first hand.

The Global Chairperson, Ms. Janat Issifu, emphasised the importance of alumni contributing actively to the growth of their alma mater, noting that graduates have a responsibility to support the institutions that shaped their academic and professional journeys. She called on alumni, government, corporate organisations, and development partners to support the University’s development agenda through strategic partnerships, infrastructure investment, and other meaningful interventions.

Beyond improving the appearance of campus buildings, the project is expected to enhance institutional image and identity while demonstrating the impact of collective alumni contributions to the University’s development. The Association expressed appreciation to individuals, institutions and stakeholders who have supported the initiative and encouraged others to participate in future projects.
