I am currently, the Head of, Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Sciences in the School of Management Sciences and Law. I was born at Yamfo in the Tano North Municipal of the Ahafo Region of Ghana. I started my basic education at the Yamfo Roman Catholic Primary. I was the school prefect at primary six. I continued my studies at Rapid Preparatory International School in Sunyani, where I took my common entrance examination, a prerequisite to secondary school. After coming out successfully with my common entrance examination, I was admitted into Dormaa Ahenkro Secondary School to read Business Studies. I was ranked among the first five of the class of fifty. I did my ordinary and advanced levels certificate examinations in the same secondary school, after which I did my National Service at the Yamfo Anglican senior secondary school at Yamfo. After secondary education, I did a study with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (Level 1) at the Kumasi Polytechnic and performed my second mandatory National Service at the Yeji Secondary Technical School. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Lincoln, England in the United Kingdom, in 2004, I continued in the same University of Lincoln to study Master of Business Administration in Finance. I later obtained a Ph.D. degree, in Management Science and Engineering in 2016, majoring in Corporate Finance at the Jiangsu University, China. I have been trained as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Management, UK.
EXPERIENCE IN INDUSTRY
I have seven years of working experience as a Banker with Nsoatreman Rural Bank in Sunyani. I have also worked as a secretary to a Sustainable Development Committee to Newmont Ahafo Development Foundation for the ten catchment areas of Nemont Ahafo Mines. I have also managed Klimason Company as a Chief Executive of the firm to build Library and Teachers bungalows for Newmont Community corporate responsibilities projects. I am currently serving and chair several boards and committees both within and outside the University of Energy and Natural Resources. Thus, a member of the National Scholarship Committee for Sunyani Municipal Assembly, and a Board member of Yamfo Allied Health Training College.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have twelve years of experience teaching university students, research, and hold a management position in tertiary institutional administration. In 2009, I was employed at Sunyani Polytechnic and was appointed as a Lecturer after my MBA degree at the Department of Accountancy. I was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2016 at the same time acting Head, Department of Accountancy. In 2018, I changed my job to join the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani as a Lecturer and later got a promotion to my current status as a Senior Lecturer.
RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONS
I have authored several research publications. My research interest areas are Mergers and acquisitions, Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibilities, Corporate Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, and Micro Finance. I am a reviewer to ten high International journals and supervise graduate and post-graduate students Thesis.”
