Kwasi Sarfo is a Lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana and a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He holds an MPhil in African Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon, and BA African Studies from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is also a trained professional teacher with a 3-Year Post-secondary Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’. His research interest includes land tenure in Africa, democratization, African social and political systems and rural development. His current dissertation is investigating the outcomes of large-scale land acquisitions for communal landholders in the Atebubu-Amanten Municipality of Ghana.
