Following the upgrade of the University Hostels to the status of Halls, the newly elected Junior Common Room(JCR) Executives of University Hall II together with the Senior Hall Tutor, Ms. Philipa Mensah embarked on a transformative three-day study tour to KNUST’s distinguished traditional halls.
The team engaged the Independence, Unity, University, and Africa Halls to enrich their knowledge of the campus residence system by immersing themselves in the time-honoured practices and rich histories of these esteemed institutions.
The Executives were warmly welcomed by their counterparts in the host halls, who graciously shared insights on hall management dynamics, historical legacies, and operational strategies. Each interaction with the Executives of the traditional halls illuminated pathways for University Hall II to develop its own traditions and operational practices.
As University Hall II charts its course forward, the lessons learnt from this transformative expedition will undoubtedly shape the trajectory of the Hall II management towards operational excellence and a legacy of distinction.
